"Your creativity thrives when you do—let’s work together to nurture your whole self."

Do you find yourself pulled in every direction by the relentless demands of your creative career? Is burnout stifling your ability to create, express, or thrive?

Maybe you’re grappling with perfectionism, imposter syndrome, or rejection—leaving you questioning your purpose and feeling stuck. For creative professionals, the pressure to produce, perform, and constantly strive for perfection can be uniquely overwhelming.

The fast-paced, high-pressure environment of your field may make it difficult to stay grounded. You might feel as though the very thing that drives your passion—the act of creating—has become a source of stress and disconnection.

Meet Alyssa Digges, MHC-LP,
Mental Health Counselor - LP

With a background in the performing arts and a master’s degree in educational theater, I understand the unique challenges creative professionals face. Whether you’re an actor, artist, musician, or writer, I specialize in helping you navigate the intersection of your career and personal life. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and a therapist experienced in kink-positive and polyamory-competent care, I create a safe, affirming space for you to explore your identity, relationships, and boundaries.

Using a person-centered, collaborative approach, I help clients build resilience, address burnout and self-doubt, and cultivate self-compassion. Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), my work integrates mindfulness and values-driven change to empower you to reconnect with what matters most and live a fulfilling life—on your terms.

In our work together, you can expect to:

  • Tackle perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and fear of failure head-on
  • Build resilience to manage rejection and career uncertainty with confidence
  • Set boundaries to protect your energy and mental health amid constant demands
  • Align your creative work with your values for a more fulfilling, balanced life

Therapy is a space where you can reconnect with your creativity, reclaim your sense of purpose, and prioritize your well-being. If you’re ready to take the next step, let’s start that journey together. Schedule your complimentary 30-minute phone consultation today.

MY THERAPY STYLE

I had a bit of a winding road to becoming a counselor. My first career was as a professional actor, which I did for six years before burning out. I decided to pivot into education and got a master’s in Educational Theatre. While I was there, I realized that most of the people in my program were actors who had burned out on performing. I got curious, and started doing research on why actors burnout and how educators can help prevent it. Through that work, I found my passion for mental health and counseling and embarked on my journey to this profession that I dearly love.

The purpose of therapy is to help people be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be. Therapy empowers us to make positive change from a place of safety and support. It’s not about fundamentally changing who we are as people, but rather getting more in touch with who we are and what we value so that we can live more fulfilling lives.
